Doing lots at 6 months old

As soon as Gage turned 6 months he started doing a lot of cool new things:

* sitting up on his own
* laughing and smiling ALOT
* babbling words 
* blowing bubbles( with his spit)
* turning toward you when you call his name
* splashing in the bath tub
* scooting around (trying hard to crawl)
* ISR (infant swimming resource) swim lessons

Gage is a natural on the boat :)

Here is a picture of Gage on his 5th day of ISR. He goes every day Monday-Friday for 1 month for a 10 minute secession. By the completion, he will be able to turn from face down to his back and be able to float. We believe this is  important since we are always by the water/pool/boat. Plus we need him on the family lobster team by next August...

I dug out some of Matt and I's baby pictures to see who Gage looks like... it seems he is a bit of both of us. What do you think?

Ok so we've been a bit busy (to say the least)...but here are some update pictures of Mr. Gage

4 months old

Gage is 4 months old!

In the last month Gage:
-started smiling and laughing a lot more
-is learning to eat from a spoon (bananas, cereal)
-holds his pacifier and trys to put it back in his mouth
-reaches for toys,blankets,pacifier in his reach
-trying to hold his bottle (he will also pull it out of his mouth and then push it back in)

Gage's first day at the beach

We weren't there very long, but heres a few pictures :) he loves to be outdoors and loves the sound of the beach (he sleeps with a noise maker that sounds like crashing waves).

There will be many more beach days in Gage's future..

3 MoNthS oLd

Our baby boy is 3 months old... 

He is getting so big and doing so many new things!

Gage is a happy boy.. he smiles and giggles all the time now.

He has mastered holding his head up and is able to sit in the Bumbo chair. He loves to sit in it while i cook/ wash dishes in the kitchen. 

He is getting better at sleeping... he goes to bed around 7:00pm and sleeps until 5:30/6am :)

He has started grabbing things in his reach and pulling hair.

We have let him lick watermelon, pineapple and an apple- he loved them all!

Happy Thanksgiving

Gages first Thanksgiving...

(This post is a bit out of order, but i forgot i had these pictures-oops)

We made the 7 hour drive from our home in South Florida to Grammy and Poopa's (Matts parents) house in Tallahassee, Florida for Thanksgiving. Gage did great in the car.. we left at 7:30pm so he slept thru the whole drive!

We let him try sweet and mashed potatoes... he liked the mashed better :)

The many faces of Gage Kannon Bliss

 

Gage: 2 months old

Gage is 8 weeks old! he showed his first smile at 7 weeks and 2 days old (Grammy was the first to see it....then he smiled for mommy and then daddy all in the same day). He smiles every morning and sometimes during the day.. each day it gets better and better... :) He is also starting to "coo" when he smiles...

That little face makes all the long nights and fussiness worth it!
