17 Weeks...

We are 17 weeks pregnant and our baby is the size of an onion...

 We will know the sex of our baby ANY day now... we can't wait to find out. Here are the names we have decided on. If its a boy, we will name him Gauge Kannon and we need help deciding if its a girl. Please feel free to let us know your opinion on which girl name you like best (only if its nice please).

My sister-in-law Lyndsey was very nice and gave us some awesome hand-me-downs this weekend.... There is a crib, changing table, stroller, and car seat in our house... WOAH! Things just got really real! 

Today was a rainy day, so we made the decision to head to Home Depot and start on our baby's room. Call us crazy... were just excited :) We have decided to paint the walls a light grey and the furniture white (regardless of the sex). Here is an inspirational picture (just the color not necessarily the striped walls or sheet patterns).

The crib and changing table Lyndsey gave us were dark wood, so todays project: sanding the furniture. That stuff is hard work! Matt is still out there sanding as I write this. My mom and I will finish sanding the "nooks and crannies" this week and then paint it white!

16 Weeks

We are 16 weeks pregnant :)

I took this photo the other day when Cloey and I were on a walk... can't really see my bump, but it seemed like a good idea at the time.

So many people say how different life is after the baby comes, and I'm sure it is. So we decided to take a "baby moon" to Saint Augustine this past weekend. Basically a "just because/no reason" trip to get away alone, before the baby comes. We had a great weekend together!

 

One more week until we know the sex of BB! (Hopefully)

14 weeks

I am 14 weeks pregnant and our baby is the size of a lemon...

We went to Tallahassee this weekend for Kim's coed baby shower. Kim is one of my best friends and I am so lucky to have her to go thru this with. Kim and I started trying to get pregnant at the same time (we traveled to Europe together this past September). Kim got pregnant the first try,and I joined her 4 months later. Cant wait to meet our little babies! 

13 Weeks...

Hello second trimester!!!! 
Our baby is the size of a peach. 

Here are some pictures from this weekend :) 

Some things I've been craving: Strawberry frozen yogurt, Olives(the good kind from Whole Foods--did you know they have a whole olive bar!?!?!), and Green Tea Frappaccinos from Starbucks.  

We went to the doctor today and got to see our baby.. he/she moved its arms a bit and kicked at one point... but for the most part it was just chilln', just like daddy.
 Our next doctors appointment falls on 17 weeks and 2 days so hopefully well get a glimpse down there and be able to tell the sex. {{Fingers Crossed}}

12 Weeks and Growing

...Our baby is the size of a plum...

Yesterday marked 12 weeks... and I am finally starting to look "pregnant." I by no means have a baby bump yet, however I do have a little gut. Scroll down and compare to the "Week 8.5" photo to see the difference.


Yesterday was St. Patty's Day...  I figured I could sit home and pout about getting bigger, or say screw it! So I threw on a bikini and we went to a big boat tie up, in Fort Lauderdale and had a good time. Instead of beer and fruit I ate a sub and sparkling water and really didn't care! Its all worth it :)

And I included one of Cloey, our dog, who thrives for any kind of attention. She sleeps flush against my body or on Matt's pillow... this should be interesting when BB arrives.

10 weeks...

We are 10 weeks pregnant. Our baby is the size of a lime and starting to form vital organs, bones and cartilage. Its body length is starting to grow rapidly and its arm joints are working. 

We've received 2 gifts already... I am a very superstitious person (so I kinda freaked out when they were given to us so early), but I wanted to share what we got.

My dad, who has 3 sons (and of course a daughter) and 4 grandsons, is convinced we are going to give him a granddaughter... he got us these PINK socks lol...

And today in the mail, Aunt Jilly(Bruno) sent these onsies and a bib. She must know Matt and I VERY well... these 3 things were made for our kid (no matter girl or boy)

(I almost bought both of these as tee shirts for myself last week on cafepress.com!!!! I had them in the shopping cart, but decided not to spend the money) 

Yes, were always "on a boat" and we love us some "Sunday Funday."

She also sent this.... a favorite food Matt and I both share. He likes the sour or Claussen and I like the Half Sour (that must have been the growing up in South Florida, around all my Jewish friends).

Thanks Dad and Aunt Jilly... Im sure Baby Bliss will love its new clothes.
